I Like America and America Likes Me, 2010

The installation "I Like America" comprises of a reconstruction of a well known performance stage by Joseph Beuys - inside lies the artist himself (dead) and in the space in front of him a (dead) coyote. the stage is otherwise set accordingly to the former work - with the traditional materials used by Beuys in all his work - felt cloth, etc. the installation is completed with a broken sled with felt cloth and fat, together with an unpleasant odor of decay. the whole stage is barred with wired fence.

The Installation was first proposed for Fort Europa, a Dutch contemporary arts festival project, that had been cancelled. It was shown for the first time in 2010 in Prague's Napa Gallery as a part of a group exhibition, carrying the same name.
